The Basic Pioneer Granola Recipe
This is a classic, no-fuss granola that becomes your foundation for countless flavor combinations.
Ingredients
4 cups rolled oats
½ cup melted coconut oil
½ cup honey
Dash of salt

½ cup raw slivered almonds
Pioneer Pantry Note
You may swap the almonds for any raw nuts you prefer (pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, etc.), or omit the nuts entirely.
You may use sweetened coconut, unsweetened coconut, or no coconut at all.
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine:
rolled oats
melted coconut oil
honey
salt

Stir well until everything is evenly coated.
Spread the mixture out on a lined baking sheet in an even layer.
Bake for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
When finished, the granola should be lightly golden and fragrant.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before adding any mix-ins.
